Carolina Gators 17U team will be hosting a tryout for their summer showcase team on Sunday April 7th, at West Stanly at 1:00 p.m.The Gators will play in 5 to 6 tournaments, with 2 or 3 to be showcase. Our organization has been instrumental in producing many players who have gone on to play college baseball. We have a few spots open at this time on our roster, and we are looking for players who are dedicated, work hard, and want to move on to the next level of play. Marty Reed is the director of the program, and he is currently the AAA pitching coach for the Atlanta Braves. Matt Reed, a former pitcher at West Stanly and the D-1 University of South Florida, is an assistant coach and oversees all pitching. Myron Harrington, who is the Assistant Head Coach oversees the program when Coach Reed is gone for the season. He has guided the program for the last five years.
